Common questions

Am I purchasing the SAFE exam?

No. This is the prelicensing education course. You register and pay for the official SAFE MLO test separately through NMLS. Enrolling here does not book your exam or include the testing fee.

Can I enroll today?

Enrollment is not open yet. You can create your account now and be ready when it opens. Approved course details and class dates are published before payment becomes available.

Why could I need more than 20 hours?

Some states require their own law course or a higher total. The 20-hour national course comes first. Check your state to see what it adds.

Is there a pass guarantee?

Yes. If you complete the 20-hour course and don't pass the SAFE MLO test, you can retake the course free. Ask within 12 months of completing it. The guarantee covers the course, not the NMLS test fee.

What if I run out of time?

Your first retake is free. Later retakes are $100.

Do you offer team pricing?

Yes. Companies can prepay seats: 10% off for 5 or more, 20% off for 25 or more, and 30% off for 100 or more.

Do I need an additional state exam?

State-specific education is coursework, not another exam. Check other licensing conditions with your regulator: completing education and passing the national test are only parts of the licensing process.

Can I use education I’ve already completed?

Confirm your education record, eligibility and any education-expiration rules with NMLS and your regulator before purchasing.
